We do not own this planet

Human race is the most intelligent and successful species on earth today. We have achieved so much. But somewhere along that all achievements we forgot that we don’t own this planet. We are just sharing it with other species as well.

By constantly destroying forests, polluting water/air/earth/ even outer space , we are being irresponsible towards nature.

When a person buys something, he thinks that he owns it. That is not entirely true. We do not truly own anything, even if we pay for it.

For ex: We buy a shirt by paying a specific amount and we think we own that now . Not really. We are only paying for human labor required to make that shirt. Not for the shirt. The shirt is made from cotton, which comes from the earth. We are not paying earth for its efforts. Sunlight is used to grow the cotton, we can never really pay for the sun, a lot of small bacteria play their role, we cannot really pay them, water is used to grow cotton, we cannot really pay to well/river/sea for the water required. We are only paying for human labor.

Sometimes we buy shirts, and do not wear it or hardly wear it. Then we are kind of being ungrateful to all the natural resources required to make that shirt. It is our responsibility to wear that shirt.

Same principle applies to food as well.

The idea here is, that you do not really own anything but you share it. When you accumulate more than we need, we are taking someone else’s share (even if you pay for it). Do not accumulate or consume more stuff than required. It is a crime against nature.

Human population is a very big concern today. If every human tries to limit their consumption of resources, this panet can serve even more population than today. By limiting consumption and not accumulating much stuff, is the sustainable way.
